This Spider Rig setup has to be the best crappie fishing rig I have ever used to catch crappie in open water. This is day 2 and 3 of my first Lake of the Ozarks trip. I am fishing with Kyler Beckmann, a local Crappie Fishing Pro, and we're chasing some pre-spawn open water crappie. These crappie were suspended in the middle of the same creek channel as day 1, and we used the same tactic to put a bunch of fish in the livewell.
