The WORST Fish to Catch while CRAPPIE Fishing (Find Crappie in Spring)

Finding Pre-spawn crappie isn't all that difficult with some patience and good electronics. Kyler Beckmann and I were lucky to find large schools of baitfish (shad) in the first creek channel/cove we looked at. Crappie were suspended in the middle of this cove and were chasing baitfish to fatten up before going to spawn. Spider rigging is usually the best tactic to fish for open water suspended crappie. The downside to using this fishing technique is when a larger fish (like a blue catfish) decides to bite the hook, that fish can ruin your day fast by tangling all the lines.
