Day 24 of 30 day challenge. Live minnows are the key to Fall crappie when they aren't biting plastics, crankbaits, or any other crappie lure. The drop-shot crappie setup is perfect for fishing around brush piles or deeper ledges for fall crappie. Simply find how far crappie are suspended in the water column, tie the hook that same distance above your drop-shot weight, then hook your live minnow and get ready to set the hook as soon as you drop that minnow in the water. Try this out the next time you are on your lake, river, or pond.
