I have recommended before Colin McCullough's brilliant series of novels about Rome in the age of Julius Caesar and her first novel, The First Man in Rome, begins to give you a flavor of what happens when a system breaks down and when violence and corruption become endemic. I think we have to be very, very concerned that starting down the road to this kind of prosecution of a former president really is dangerous, almost guarantees that there'll be other prosecutions of other politicians.

And that just makes the system much more dangerous and really undermines the whole concept of a free society. So there's a lot to be concerned about there.
