Shear Brazing

As soon as you know you have a cast iron project, you get into brazing mode. There are a lot of reasons the skill of brazing was one skill that was handed down to me by the first old timers I had a chance to work with in the shipyards. The strength of it, the likeness in bearing surface, the ease of machining and the non-effect it has in the base material, no crystalizing or work hardening, maybe more but there are the most important in my book.
I agree to help a customer repair an old shear of his that sustained an injury during moving.
