Revival or Apostasy?

Based, for the most part, on a single verse of Scripture, Matthew 24:14, many are looking for and preaching a great "End Times Revival". Can a doctrine be built on a single verse? Did you ever read that verse in context? Certainly you have heard this preached, did the preacher put it in context or did he just pull it out and let it stand on its own? Scripture calls for a great end times apostasy... Are they confusing apostasy for revival?
