DON’T LOSE THAT CONNECTION!!!

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

I have to say guys, that this particular topic out of this morning scripture has always been confusing to me. I say confusing, because I was never properly taught a lot of things about God, especially the Holy Spirit, when I was in the IFB, so this particular topic of grieving/quenching the Holy Spirit has been rather elusive to me. I was especially puzzled as well as intrigued by the questions from this morning’s devotional, and I'd like to share them with you all tonight. I invite you all to read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will challenge you through them as well.

When have you felt the Holy Spirit's power to be limited?

When have you experienced the power of God spirit?

As I said before, this topic has been confusing, as well as an intriguing puzzle to me, but each and every day, God helps me understand that puzzle more and more, and it's something I'm very grateful for. This morning, I learned some interesting things from God's Word on this issue, and I'd like to share them with you through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to challenge you to think of areas in your life, where maybe your connection to the Lord is either very weak, or it's become disconnected, and ask God to reconnect it. Chuck Smith himself stated, “You know one of the greatest quenches of the Spirit is a lack of love? That's how we quench the Spirit.” We also quench the spirit by thinking spirit inspired messages are worldly or try to exalt worldly attitudes as spiritual. All I can say, is that the last thing I want to do, allow that connection to the Holy Spirit to be ruined through either a lack of love, ignoring God's presence, or rejecting His conviction.
My prayer for all of you tonight, is that if you're experiencing that disconnection, that distance, or feeling the Holy Spirit’s power being limited in your life, come before the Lord, ask Him to show you any area of your life, where that connection to God, has become disrupted, and ask Him to repair it.
