Kim Iversen: Rochelle Walensky (& The CDC) Need To Admit Their Lies & Apologize!

"[Rochelle Walensky] is trying to say in this New York Times article -- "What I Need To Tell The American People Before I Leave The CDC" -- she says I want to restore trust in these public health sectors; we need the CDC and the American people have lost trust and faith in the CDC and we need to restore that trust. But her idea of restoring the trust does not include what is necessary to actually restore that trust because . . . she has not apologized . . . and come out and said 'I was wrong and I apologize.' That would be the right way to restore that trust in the CDC. You want to restore trust? Come out and tell us you're sorry. Say you're sorry to the anti-vaxxers you demonized. Say you're sorry and apologize and admit you were wrong. And say we need to learn from this. There needs to be a reckoning. We need to go and figure out what failed. Did we allow politics to be infused way too much into our system? Yes you did."

"So there you go. She lied throughout the entire pandemic. Her time at the CDC is unfortunately tainted with all of these lies. These will never go away. These type of videos will circulate forever. If she wants to restore trust in the CDC, well, the way is to apologize, to own up to your lies, to own up to the mistakes that you made. And to discuss WHY you did that, WHY the agency followed such political partisanship when they should have been following science, WHY they ignored the science that was right in front of them, even just the science that was given to them by the Israelis, the Israeli scientists who were sitting in those FDA and CDC meetings -- they were invited, they zoomed in -- and they said 'Hey, by the way this thing doesn't stop the spread! By the way, we're giving out our fourth dose now, so I don't know, it's not really doing what you think it's going to do! That's what we know.' And that was all ignored."
