Dr Stanley Plotkin Deposed in Matheson v Schmidt

The case of Matheson v Schmidt was brought by Lori Matheson to prevent her x-husband Michael Schmidt from vaccinating their 10-year-old daughter, Faith. Mr Schmidt sought Dr Plotkin as an expert witness to speak in support of administering the full CDC recommended schedule of vaccines to Faith. However, Dr Plotkin had never met nor examined Faith, nor looked at her medical records which he admits could show contraindications for a child receiving vaccinations. Also, as a developer of vaccines and board member of over a dozen vaccine manufactures, he has signifiant conflicts of interest which could affect his ability to speak frankly about possible vaccine adverse reactions. In this grueling 9-hour deposition, the attorney for Ms. Matheson does a thorough job of vetting Dr Plotkin's conflicts of interest and the following day, Dr Plotkin recused himself as a potential expert witness.
