What is Evaluation?

Evaluation is the process of gathering and analyzing information, comparing various factors, and using the information and data to draw conclusions.
This video addresses the skill of evaluation, one of the 4 major thinking skills that are required to succeed in writing and composition assignments in the public schools. The major thinking skills are: analysis, comparison, inference, and evaluation.

Note to homeschool parents: These 1-2 minute videos are meant to be a starting point for the introduction of important skills through our educational modules. Much of the content is a result of almost 2 decades of teaching and counseling in the public schools and based on what works. Much of our content is taught via technology and animated videos, which studies show hold the attention of the middle school student better than most traditional techniques.
