🛠 Winged Infantry's maintenance battalion - REPAIRING IS CARYING

02.07.23 🛠 In the special military operation area, Airborne Troops' repair and recovery units are not only repairing breakdowns, but also upgrading combat hardware. Much of the work with combat vehicles is carried out in the field near the front line. All for speed, as the equipment must be back in action as soon as possible and continue to carry out combat missions.

▫️ Today repairers are working on three combat vehicles at once. The Solntsepyok has had its oil changed, all systems checked, and an additional anti-drone shield – a special shield that will protect the crew from enemy drones – has been installed.

▫️ An armoured personnel carrier is also being upgraded. A lattice framework is welded onto its hull to protect it from grenade launchers. In addition, specialists reinforced the armour by installing additional plates on the hull.

▫️ The power unit of the BTR-MDM Rakushka is being replaced in a neighbouring field workshop and technicians are rebuilding the engine. It will take a couple of days to complete the work and the combat piece will be back in action.

The repair and recovery unit is staffed only by professionals, and everyone does its best. The technicians realise that the lives of front-line soldiers depend on the quality and speed of repair.
