I'm going to read through and review books, providing synopsis and commentary on what I'm reading and how it relates to the world today. We start with the King of the Damned, Lenny Bruce, making this weeks #bookoftheweek How to Talk Dirty and Influence People. Why the damned? Because he believed in freedom of speech. And in todays cancel culture, if you believe in freedom, you are damned. I go through several thoughts and episodes in the book that would have had the king of comedy canceled by todays cancel culture. If you support free speech but, then you don't support free speech and you would have canceled Lenny Bruce. Congratulations! You Suck! But if you support free speech. Full stop. You support free speech. Then there is no better time to start defending that concept.
