The ESEE Authentic Model 4HM Fixed Blade Knife is a fantastic tool that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking or camping.
Although I wish I had purchased the larger 6-inch model, I have found that the 4-inch model still meets most of my needs. While some people may be comfortable using this knife for batoning, I personally would not recommend it for anything below 6 inches.
This knife has a great feel and is incredibly sharp. The Kydex sheath and micarta handles are also perfectly fitted. In my experience, this knife is suitable for almost any job one might encounter in the great outdoors.
Compared to heavier models, such as the ESEE Laser Strike, this knife is much lighter and better suited for smaller tasks. The smaller handle is also a great feature for those with smaller hands or for those who want to work the blade more deftly.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely consider buying the larger model in the future.
