Can We Upgrade a Dollar Store Flashlight w/Strongest Battery in the World?

So I bought a $1 flashlight at the dollar store and it's supposed to run at around 1.5 amps and 4.5 volts with 3x AAA batteries in series. So naturally I hooked a 4.2V Sony Murata battery up to it, which can output over 100 watts concurrently. It's the highest capacity and almost highest output 18650 lithium battery in the world. Do you think the circuit has some sort of flow limiter to limit over current? The thumbnail certainly doesn't think so!

P.S. I think the flashlight was $1.99. This was one of those dollar stores where not everything is a dollar.
