We talk to Brian Brase, veteran and Co-Organizer of The Freedom Convoy, who, after the death of his teenage son and his brother, suffered a PTSD so severe that he considered committing suicide. It wasn’t until he met Amanda Held, veteran, equestrian and Founder and Executive director of H.O.O.V.E.S that he fought to save his own life.

Brian Brase is former military and a second generation trucker. He is the Co-organizer of The People’s Convoy, which trucked across the nation in early 2022 from California to Washington DC. At the height of the lockdown, his teenage son Dominic took his life as The People’s Convoy was about to begin. After The People’s Convoy wrapped up, Brian went into a deep depression. He continued to spiral after his brother died, and Brian thought of killing himself.When his military buddy noticed Brian’s state of mind, he introduced Brian to Hooves.us.
