0987 Mk.12.35-37 Beyond the Son of David

How could mere humans comprehend that God would send His Son into the world as the "son of David"? Jesus in this passage of Scripture questions the mere assumption of the Jews that the quote from Ps. 110:1 was David merely talking to his son. Jesus, however, highlights that if David is talking to his son, why does he call him Lord as someone greater than himself.
