Get ready for AN ENGLISH EASTER & how to style an EASTER TABLE FIT FOR BEATRIX POTTER 🐇🐣// Happy Tuesday everyone, In just a few days it will be Easter. In today's video, we're sharing a shopping trip to the British supermarket Tesco to show you a big Easter tradition here in the UK: Easter eggs! They are huge here - we do have chocolate Easter bunnies here as well and while Easter bunnies are the most popular option for an Easter basket in Germany, it's Easter eggs here. In the second half of the video, we're making a carrot patch cake because we have recently watched Peter Rabbit 2 and Peter Rabbit always reminds us of Easter. Beatrix Potter's wonderful stories never get old and she inspired us to style an Easter table that she would hopefully approve of. Happy Easter! With much love, Kirsten & Jörg xx

RECIPE MARBLE CAKE (MARMORKUCHEN):

Ingredients
250g butter, softened
200g sugar
5 eggs
vanilla bean extract or 1 vanilla pod
pinch of salt
250g self-raising flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp milk
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1tbsp sugar
50ml milk
150g dark chocolate
50g white chocolate

Method
Grease a bundt pan. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Beat the butter, vanilla bean extract and pinch of salt. Add the eggs one after another. Mix the baking powder with the flour and add 3 tablespoons of milk. Put half of the batter into a separate bowl. Mix the cocoa powder with the sugar and mix into half of the batter. Put half of the white batter into the bundt pan, then put half of the dark batter on top of it. Repeat one more time. Create a marble effect by using a spoon and bake for about 50 minutes.
Melt the dark and white chocolate separately. Pour the dark chocolate on top of the cake , then use a small amount of white chocolate and use a skewer for a marble effect. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
