Tim Ballard may experience the "Sound of Freedom" one day himself, after he gets out of prison. Already under criminal investigation, Ballard may have put himself in further legal jeopardy. The film and the film's production shows a "pattern of criminal behavior" and "deceit for personal gain". Now that it has been uncovered that the feature film is complete fiction and has been a vehicle to defraud investors and OUR donors.

The "Sound of Freedom" motion picture was supposed to be the true story of Tim Ballard's rescue of two kidnapped and trafficked children, a brother and sister from Mexico, that led to the creation of Operation Underground Railroad. But new documents uncovered by award winning journalist Lynn Packer currently being published at ACJ reveals that the story Ballard tells about the arrest of Earl Buchanan and the children is complete fiction.

In fact, Tim Ballard wasn't the agent who rescued the children, Ballard stole the story of a Border Patrol Agent and he took credit years later. Neither child was kidnapped or trafficked. Both children were American citizens and just the boy had been groomed by Earl Buchanan, a friend of the family who lived next door.

Despite Ballard telling multiple versions of the necklace story in dozens of interviews over the years and actually being reduced to tears- he lied. It never happened.

Ballard's claim that he promised to "rescue the boy's kidnapped sister from a drug lord in Colombia who was trafficking her", immediately quit his job at Homeland Security and mortgaged his house for $40,000 to "finance an armed rescue operation" is false. There was no drug lord, raid or rescue. There was no "kidnapped" or "trafficked" sister. She was at home near San Bernardino.

Ballard thought using the plot from Rambo and Taken would sell tickets and raise money.
