One of Russia’s staunchest allies, Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko, has cast doubt on the whereabouts of Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, who led a mutiny against Moscow.

Lukashenko says that Prigozhin is now in Russia, despite previous claims he had been exiled to Belarus.

It’s now unclear who is in control of the thousands of Russian mercenary fighters battling against Ukraine
