Polaris Project "Deeply Concerned" Over Tim Ballard's Number Deception

Anti-human trafficking NGO Polaris Project is "deeply concerned" with Operation Underground Railroad and Tim Ballard's deception.

Ballard and O.U.R. continue to embellish data and statistics released by the National Human Trafficking Hotline that is operated by the Polaris Project and partially funded by the U.S. government.
In a recent interview, Lynn Packer asked Polaris CCO Caren Benjamin about the "Numbers Controversy". She stated, "The data that we hold from the National Human Trafficking Hotline is complex and is misunderstood or misused all the time".

This isn't the first time that Tim Ballard was caught misrepresenting Polaris data actual human trafficking cases and number of victims in order to make money. Polaris and law enforcement agencies have both corrected Ballard publicly, multiple times.

Benjamin went on to say, "We are, of course, deeply concerned about the mis & dis information out there about human trafficking... Any definitive statement about the prevalence of human trafficking in North America should be taken with a grain of salt. There is no prevalence data. Period."
