The Mask

The Mask was a side-scrolling game for the Super NES, based on the movie "The Mask".

The game was not very successful due to its extremely high difficulty even on the easy level combined with its difficult controls, the fact that each stage (except the penultimate one) had a boss, and the lack of a system to save your progress. Few people managed to finish the game without activating the cheat menu (trick menu) because the last boss was almost impossible to defeat without using the specials. Best of all known by many as the "Mega Gun" used up all the limit points of special moves. Even so, the ending of the game made him last in the top 10 game endings. Since all that happened was simply a dance sequence between the Mask and the girl he rescues. In the credits there is no background music which makes them even more boring.
