Economically, Mardi Gras is the equivalent of holding the Super Bowl four times in the same year! It is a pillar of the tourism industry which New Orleans thrives on and it happens annually! Mardi Gras is America's largest festival with over one million tourist flocking to the Big Easy annually to witness the spectacle.
