The language that Jesus the Christ spoke during His years on earth as a man was the Galilean dialect of the Greek language called Aramaic. In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus taught His twelve disciples the way that they should pray. That passage is often mislabeled as "The Lord's Prayer", when in fact it is "The Model Prayer" which Jesus spoke as an example to His twelve disciples on how to pray after they said, "Lord, teach us to pray."

Actor Jim Caviezel learned the Aramaic language for his role as Jesus the Christ in the 2004 motion picture, "The Passion of the Christ". In this video, he quotes the Model Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13 by memory in Aramaic. It is very impressive, and is quite moving.
