Transforming Hubballi-Dharwad into a Smart and Sustainable City

Hubballi-Dharwad is undergoing a major transformation through India's Smart Cities Mission. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various smart city projects totaling approximately 520 crore rupees. These initiatives aim to:

• Create public spaces that are hygienic, safe and functional for citizens

• Apply information and communication technologies to improve infrastructure and services like water supply, waste management and transportation

• Foster sustainable and environmentally friendly urban planning and design

• Promote economic growth through innovation and entrepreneurship
