Gods are Useless in Dragon Ball Z

Akira Toriyama was writing on the fly when creating Dragon Ball so every time his editor or publisher wanted to change something things changed. So it created situations where previous power ups became useless. This reminded me of how the bible has a lot of other gods mention besides Jesus and those gods don't matter because of Jesus's authority.
