HIS BLOOD, OUR LIFE

In the Old Testament, and in the new, it is blood, not water that signifies life. The Old Testament gives us so much foreshadowing of what is to come when our Savior becomes flesh (and is nourished in the womb by the blood of Mary). Much of the New Testament is a reflection of the Old.
