Story Mode Boss Odin Part 2 With All 9 Burdens and Spartan Gear With Spartan Aspis Shield GMGOW+

While using the burdens and Spartan gear I take a "calm and reasonable" approach. I try to minimize the risk by not doing anything fancy. I especially take that approach when using the Spartan Aspis Shield given how much more difficult it is to use.

This second fight with Odin is much more challenging. There is just so much going on during it. Especially the second phase. If you are doing it in one segment and without taking damage or getting hit as I did in the video it becomes a very annoying fight. Once he puts all the hazards on the ground it makes every step something you need to carefully consider. You also need to try and not have a hazard behind you because he pushes you back when he puts on an element shield. I lost a lot of runs because of that. The hazards don't do damage outright except for the fire one. However you get a status effect which makes the fight much harder.

The main attack that you need to watch out for is the red ring whip attack he does. When you are close to him it becomes hard to dodge. It has a delay and the animation is very similar to the whip attack at the ground that creates a pillar of Bifrost. But because that attack doesn't have a delay it makes timing dodges much harder. That's why I was happy doing a lot of this fight at range with the spear.

Something important to keep in mind is you can alter the gear for both Freya and Atreus independently for this fight. So you can get more benefits from you're Accessories if you gear them right. You also are always firing both Sigil and Sonic arrows. Atreus is you're "primary" companion meaning he will always fire the arrow type you have selected and Freya will fire the other one. That's why Atreus has a setup focused on getting Odin Hexed and Freya has Reckless Empowerment and Rune-Engraved Release to help me do more damage. Giving both of them Nocked Proficiency really helps to do more damage as well.

Now with this fight finished I have defeated all the story mode bosses and all the endgame optional bosses with all 9 Burdens and Spartan Debuff Gear while also using the Aspis Shield. I think I will do some of the side content with this build as well. Like all Draugr Holes or all dragons. Something like that.
