In June 2023, the World Economic Forum released a 41-page white paper on the central bank's digital currency (CBDC) framework. They want to create a regulatory framework for CBDC like they did for the fiat currencies we use now, whether it's dollars, Euros, or what have you. In any case, the central bank will ensure that CBDC is the only payment method.
