One of our viewers, Jennie, asked if it might be possible to freeze-dry sourdough to make starter flakes. We decided to experiment to see if it just might be possible. In this video, we demonstrate the process that we went through to find out that sourdough, or natural yeast, will no longer be viable after freeze-drying.
