World powers in rush to get killer robots on battlefield in AI arms race

A recent documentary exploring the future of artificial intelligence in warfare reveals that a new type of cold war has emerged.

Military forces worldwide are engaged in a clandestine arms race, striving to develop formidable AI-based weaponry, the New York Post reported.

According to Jesse Sweet, the director of the documentary “UNKNOWN: Killer Robots,” premiering on Netflix, world leaders in countries like Russia and China, as well as individuals in the US military, have acknowledged that whoever gains an advantage in AI will possess an overwhelming technical edge in future conflicts.
