More photos of the "Scottish Coronation" held on Wednesday, 5th July. The Scottish Crown Jewels, King Charles, Queen Camilla and William and Kate attended a church service at Edinburgh. It was always planned to be part Scotland's Royal Week aka Holyrood Week. However, I don't think many people, including myself, realized that this service counts towards a Scotland-specific coronation. It's amazing that the Scots understood yesterday what Charles was trying and protested against his royal arse. Big time. Republic held another massive demonstration, but unlike the Chubbly protest in May, this time the police did not shut it down. While protesters were chanting or holding signs, no arrests were made. Two people were arrested because they broke through the barriers. When Charles and Camilla arrived at St. Giles' Cathedral, the "Not My King' chants could be heard over the bagpipes and band playing.
