The Gypsies/Romani

The Romani/Gypsies are an itinerant culture originating in the area of India which, today, is called Rajasthan. They left during the medieval period, for reasons that are not truly known, but in this video we discuss some of the theories on that. Their language is derived from Sanskrit, like other North Indian languages, but predominantly they belong to a variety of H haplogroup. This video is by no means a full representation of their history, and should only be taken as a simplified overview or introduction.
