Why do we let the government tax us so much

Why do we let the government tax us so much. Isn’t there something we can do, will anybody stand up and take their place? Do we live in a free and independent country? Why did our founding fathers have so much passion and yet we just let them walk all over us today. #bostonteaparty #taxation #government
