Hollywood is usually 60 years behind. They had better movies then (all over the world), when the threat/issue was fresh. More originality. Characters you believed. Great writing. Movies that made you dream. Movies where you'd fall in love with the woman on the screen.

But instead, they go after 50 year old threats, instead of the current one, because they don't want to rock the boat to satisfy their pocketbooks, instead of making something good. Maybe the writer's strike (McDonalds employees make more) last forever.. No one ever quotes them anyway, because they have no wit or talent.
