There've been riots in France after a 17yo Algerian who died after an escalated confrontation with police (a story we don't discuss here). But Omar from @Third_Rail shares a backstory of resentment from Algerians toward French from colonial times — the Algerian War beetween France and the Algerian National Liberation Front (French: Front de Libération Nationale – FLN) from 1954 to 1962 (per Wikipedia).
