Boogie Night Dreams is a direct sequel to Queen of New Las Vegas however instead of 70s space funk its 70s space disco. After doing the superb guitar that I thought sounded like disco I asked Lance whether he could create a disco track based off a similar guitar riff. Lance came back with a superb track with great bass lines fantastic guitars and Paull added his excellent drums.

I decided to go with a rhodes melody line for the instrumental. A spooky spacey synth on the high end. After adding these to the mix Lance asked me to do some brass hits to serve as highlights which I did and that I think work very well.

Lance added the sfx extra guitar licks and other highlights to the mix. To be honest it was dense and dance worthy I was not sure whether it should stand as an instrumental. Lance persuaded me to give the some lyrics a go.

I did 5 vocals tracks in total and I had a fairly unique approach I had a list of lines that rhymed with Boogie Night Dreams that i would use in no particular order. The only fixed lyrics in this track was the rap at the 3/4 way through the track.

That's the other unique thing about this track is that its the first time we have a genuine rap and spoken word in one track.

Lance was pushed to his limits on mixing this one and I am once again delighted with the mix and the spatial sounds of this track.
