During the spring there is a no mow period to help bees. I have never seen bees attracted to grass. They are attracted to flowers in their search for flower nectar. What I have observed is when clover is blooming bees are in a frenzy collecting nectar so they can make honey.
So to really help bees don’t mow clover and let clover patches in your yard thrive to help bees.
Clover seed used to be an ingredient in grass seed. Clover rhizomes also add nitrogen to the soil which improve soil for grass growth.
Clover is the bee’s knees.
