The curious case of Carlee Russell

On Thursday, July 13, 2023, Carlee Russell became "missing" after calling Hoover PD to report seeing a white male toddler walking near I-459 in Hoover, AL. Upon police arriving there was no toddler, nor Carlee. The family immediately claimed that she was abducted. Social media and even mainstream media pushed the abduction scenario. Within 48 hours, Carlee returned home on foot according to police. She was taken to UAB Medical Center for treatment for unknown reasons.
