I got bird hunting in Scotland. So technically I guess I can say I am bird hunting in the united kingdom. Or some people call it waterfowl hunting. And not just are we bird hunting or waterfowl hunting (i wonder which sounds more proper). We are also doing a catch and cook. So you will see how we catch n cook duck, pheasant and partridge.

For the catch and cook part of this video it will only be a partridge recipe and a pheasant recipe. We didn't bring home any of the ducks in this catch and cook episode. It's also not a catch clean and cook. They cleaned the birds for us so I was not able to capture that on video. PS: they use hot wax to remove the feathers from all the game birds.

This is my first time shooting a partridge and pheasant. I didn't have a chance to shoot a duck in Scotland, but that's ok! I have shot duck before. Maybe i'll make a duck catch and cook here in Florida soon. After all this is the South Florida Fishing Channel. Although we are hunting in scotland... maybe I should call this the South Florida Hunting Channel. Haha

What I like about this bird catch and cook episode is that Kiri really takes the time to explain how to cook a bird. And in this case it's how to cook a game bird! Which is even more exciting. I never new that bird hunting. Especially the partridge hunting and pheasant hunting in scotland could be so much fun! I am excited to do some more bird hunting in Scotland soon again! We use shotguns for waterfowl hunting btw for anyone wondering.
