He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was a toyline made into a TV show. It had a great cast of characters, and accomplished it's purpose spectacularly. However, some weepy-eyed weirdos like Kevin Smith wanted to see He-Man get "put in his place" and that ruined the franchise---forever.
