Sometimes you miss the seam.

Or you cut the seam while you’re trimming.

Either way no problem.  Just go back and catch it.  It’s all part of the joy of creating.

When you’re closing a seam you have lots of options!  My two favorite are the hand ladder stitch and doing a top stitch all around the edge.
