87-year-old shot dead in NYC

DailyKenn.com — 87-year-old Homod Saeidi, a Yemeni immigrant, was fatally shot in New York City.

Thomas Abreu, 25, was arrested.

Reports say the shooter drove a motor scooter through Brooklyn randomly shooting people.

Five were shot. Saeidi was the only fatality.

The victim immigrated to the USA in 1962 and led a productive life in farming and the grocery business. His son said Saeidi "would have a regular morning run for three to four miles, after which he would go to a local park" [source].
