Today we speak with retired Long Beach Police Department Sergeant and founder of the non-profit "Why'd You Stop Me?" Jason Lehman. Part of the mission of the organization is to help "people understand what the police officer on the street hears and sees when speaking or dealing with the people they serve. Regardless of the personal feelings anyone holds for the police and vice-versa, success can be had if both sides come to the table to understand one another. Most importantly, everyone learns to challenge their bias." Jason and I have an energetic and sometimes contentious discussion about relations between law enforcement officers and the people whom they encounter.
