Diablo IV - Surprise!

So I know what you're thinking, Blizzard's servers are trash and one of the reasons why Diablo IV shouldn't be an always online game. Now I'd agree with you on that, however this moment of epic lag was self inflicted.

So what really happened? Well, I was downloading a game while I was playing, said download was chewing up all of my bandwidth and I was too lazy to throttle it some to give the game some breathing room. This resulted in me having some lag, but at the time it really wasn't all that bad, in fact it added a little extra fun to the game as I would randomly get a little bit of a lag spike, but nothing all that concerning, until this moment. While going through the stronghold, the game borderline timed out on me. Didn't really notice at first as I figured there just weren't any more enemies to kill until I did something in particular. But when I continued to look around and later tried to interact with something, I discovered that it was very much a connection problem. So I waited, figured it would eventually smooth out. Then when I decided to have a poke around the paragon board, the game finally caught up with stuff and you saw the rest.

But yeah, that's what really happened. Originally this video was only made to pass along to someone I know that I had been talking to about my little laggy adventure on Discord, to which they got a bit of a chuckle out of when this happened. Then when someone else I know had posted about the issues the servers were having when season 1 started, I jokingly posted the video on their server. They then said I should put it on YouTube and since I honestly don't have any other videos edited and ready to release (so many things to do, so little time to really do them ... or sometimes just lack of energy to do them), this ended up being this weeks release.
