HEAT WAVE and SEVERE WEATHER expected this week -Great Lakes Weather

The southwestern ridge bringing sweltering heat to the western United States will expand into the Great Lakes Region this week, bringing heat indexes near 110 in some spots. This expanding ridge will also be accompanied by severe weather potential, showing itself on Wednesday and also perhaps on Saturday.
