Humpback whale freed from shark net

The Sea World Rescue Team joined the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol to assist a mother and calf Humpback whale which were entangled in a shark net off the Coolangatta Beach. The team’s worked together to successfully remove the netting and free the whales from the entanglement using specialized cutting equipment.
