War Risk Insurance 1918

Sec. of the Treasury McAdoo issues the first certificate. Checks are processed at the War Risk Insurance Bureau in Washington, D.C. Shows WRI head, Cholmely R. Jones, and other officials. Insurance papers are loaded on the Mauretania at Brest, France, and unloaded in New York City. Veterans learn to use artificial limbs in a hospital, and are taught to type, use garden tools, and drive tractors.
