WHY? Tempest Epps killed because of a drive by shooting!!!

Hamilton County authorities have identified the woman who was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in the West End.

According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, the victim in Sunday’s shooting has been identified as Tempest Epps. Cincinnati police say Epps was 37 years old.

Authorities are continuing to search for a suspect.

Police say shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, CPD received a ShotSpotter notification alerting them of gunfire in the 1900 block of Freeman Ave.

Officials say they also received a call about a shooting there.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located a woman, later identified as Epps, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She later died from her injuries.

“We did recover several shell casings from the scene and we still have to recover those, review those, and determine if there was only one shooter,” Lieutenant David Schofield with CPD said.

“If anybody hears anything, sees anything, rumors, it doesn’t matter what it is, please call us immediately,” Schofield said.

Police tell us they’re searching for a black Hyundai Sedan that witnesses saw leaving the scene.

“I can tell you the officers were here within a minute the officers were on scene, rendering aid. We had other officers responding to the last known location of the vehicle. We’re doing everything in our effort to try to locate the shooter,” Schofield said.
