When writing the post-apocalyptic genre the story themes usually either involve #aliens, #Astronomicalpheonmena, Cosy catastrophe, Environmental disaster,Failure of modern technology, Pandemics, and War and it may revolve around attempts to prevent an apocalypse event, deal with the impact and consequences of the event itself, or may be set after the event and focusing on the travels or psychology of survivors such in novels like Cormac McCarthy The Road.
