Tiger Released Into The Wild: Endangered Amur Tiger Set Free in Far East

AN orphaned Amur tiger - one of the rarest in the world - has been released back into the wild. Cinderella was found baldy frost-bitten and exhausted by a team of conservationists, who took her to a rehabilitation centre in Far Eastern Russia. There they were forced to amputate around seven centimetres of her tail due to the affects of frost-bite and set about teaching her vital skills normally taught by the mother, including hunting and stalking prey, plus avoiding humans. Now one year on, the tigress has been released back into her natural habitat thanks to staff at the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
